In our neighboring state of Missouri, Attorney General Andrew Bailey is taking on Planned Parenthood. On July 23, Bailey’s office announced a lawsuit accusing the abortion giant of misleading patients.
Planned Parenthood continues to downplay the health risks of chemical abortion drugs to women facing unexpected pregnancies. This latest lawsuit comes as a result of the Foundation for the Restoration of America’s report that found abortion drugs like mifepristone are not safe for women.
After reviewing insurance claims for patients who use this dangerous medication, life-threatening complications were found at 22 times the rate stated on the label.
The reality is, one in 10 women who take these pills will suffer complications that could include hemorrhage, infection, sepsis, hospitalization, uterine rupture, ruptured ectopic pregnancy…or even death.
Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood claims that drug-induced abortion medication is “safer than Tylenol.”
“The national Planned Parenthood organization is actively endangering lives of women and girls across the country by spreading lies and disinformation about the powerful chemical abortion drug,” shares Attorney General Bailey in a powerful press statement.
Bailey is also leading another lawsuit that seeks to revoke FDA approval of mifepristone.
“The lies must stop,” Bailey says boldly.
Recently, Planned Parenthood has faced a number of financial woes. Earlier this year in Illinois, four Planned Parenthood centers closed due to “financial shortfall.”
